What caused the income inequality gap that started in the 70's?

    It's what caused the fall of the Roman Empire and the French aristocracy. It leads to unrest and revolution. American has been successful with a small rich elite, a small underclass and a huge, upwardly mobile middle class. The ultra rich are amassing fortunes that could be allowing the middle class more mobility.

    Quit being such an ankle, the money that they make doesn't freaking belong to anyone else. Its not like there is some finite amount of money to be had and those dastardly billionaires have it all.

    If someone wants to give me money I will never say no, but I will be damned if I'm going to bitch and moan about something that #1 is not rightfully mine or say #2 it's not fair that so and so has this and I dont.

    That will ruin a society in a quickness

    I have no idea what you're trying to say. It's not about individuals giving or taking, OK? Thats a straw man. We're talking about societies that develop such a wealthy elite whose money buys them power and influence of all the rest of us. It gets to the point where the middle class will say that they aren't going to take it anymore. We're only a couple of hundred years past our last revolution.
