They want their narrative to be whatever it is so bad they don’t realize Russia losing a ship because they caught it on fire themselves is actually worse!
No doubt the Moskva was sunk by a Ukraine Neptune missile that caused a massive explosion and fire. We can know this by the fact that Ukraine was claiming a hit hours before Russia acknowledged a problem. We can also know this by the fact that other Russian ships in the area have now retreated. Russia is headed for a thorough defeat. This was a disaster to pride and morale, as eell as a a significant blow to Russia's ability to just sit off Ukraine's coast launching missiles at their cities.
