it doest matter when she took the stance. if i make a movie that is critical of nazis, and nazis are angry, we tell the nazis to suck it. if i make a movie about republicans, and republicans are angry, we tell republicans to suck it. if i make a movie about catholics, supafan doent get angry because he doesnt care, he is not a savage, we dont need to condemn anything. there should be no mention of the film, no values assigned to it, by hillary. a movei was mde, the content is not relevant. it isnt deplorable to make movies with opinions in them, regardless of what thpse opinions are. this is the cornerstone of our whole country! this is the most important thing, that we dont judge things this way!
I am free to deplore anything I please. You just don't get it, do you? You didn't address my comment either. It is entirely possible to defend free speech and still consider it to be deplorable. Everybody but you seems to understand this. This isn't about your peculiar philosophy, dipshit. It's about US foreign policy concerning very serious matters today. Either get with the program or go talk to yourself somewhere.
hillary clinton wasnt saying "i think x is deplorable" thats her opinion, and is fine, she can think whatever she wants is deplorable. she said the US thinks it is deplorable. she is speaking for us, for me, for you, and i am not a islamist. i dont think mohammad is holy and cannot be depicted certain ways. do you? again, like i said, the US is neutral with regards to the political content of movies. hillary does not decide what is deplorable. i think debate about religion is healthy and terrific and important. i think is is heroic to speak out against things like islam, knowing the violence it may cause. i know i am too scared to burn a koran on my street. i would be lynched i live a few blocks from the muslim district, "little egypt". and this is a tragedy that i feel this way, its as unamerican as literally anything you can imagine.
She is the Secretary of Fucking State. It's her job to speak on behalf of the United States. Stop pretending to be stupid. This is real it's not martinworld. This is a movie that has caused Americans to be killed and endangered American foreign policy. It is important for us to make it clear that an inflammatory movie does not speak for the US government and that we think the movie is deplorable. Nobody has suggested that Americans can't make movies. But nothing in the Constitution protects free speech from free speech. Clinton and I and anybody else can call any free speech deplorable if we wish to. And the Government can take such a stand. What a self-indulgent pussy you are. And you are politically tone-deaf, too, Just like your hero. “Libya Surprise” Could Be Death Knell for Romney Campaign Mitt Romney’s attempt to exploit the violent anti-U.S. demonstrations in Egypt and Libya to portray Obama as soft on America’s enemies backfired almost immediately, when it became clear the statement from the U.S. Embassy in Cairo he had cited was issued before the demonstrations began. Overnight, the tragic news came that Chris Stevens, the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, and three other U.S. officials were killed while trying to flee the besieged U.S. consulate in Benghazi. But still the Mittster didn’t quit seeking to gain political advantage. Speaking in Florida this morning, he repeated the charge that the Obama Administration was failing to stand up for for things Americans hold dear, such as freedom of speech. The White House was “standing in apology for our values” and following a “terrible course,” Romney said. The reaction to Romney’s desperate gambit has been almost universally negative. About the only people who are sticking up for him today are Jim DeMint, the Tea Party senator from South Carolina, and Bill Kristol, the editor of the Weekly Standard. Even Romney’s running mate, Paul Ryan, failed to echo his line of attack. Speaking in Wisconsin, Ryan described the killings in Libya as “pretty disturbing,” but he didn’t criticize Obama, and he said it was “a time for healing.”
was it the movie that caused the killing, or was it the islamists? movies can kill people now? how does that work exactly? do the words and sounds morph into rockets? maybe we should handcuff the movie and take away its weapons before it kills again.
and the twin towers were destroyed because people like me are infidels in a great city of infidels. there may have been some terrorists, but thats not the real cause. really the cause was the new yorkers who are infidels. serously red, what the fuck is wrong with you. blame the killers, and the killers only.
There is so much chit being thrown around here that it would be funny if it weren't so sad. A few points. 1) the film wasn't made by the fool preacher in Fla; it was made by Isrealis I believes (members of the Jewish religon). 2) It was a pretext for a violent sub set of Islam to raise mayhem and violence. There is NO responsibility held the by the makers of the film or the fool preacher for the violence. Late AP reports indicate the Libyan raid and possibly the Egyptian were premeditated commando attacks not spontaneous. 3) The many Middle Eastern governments of all stripes are more to blame as they have kowtowed to the radical preachers spewing hate of Isreal & the west to protect themselves from revolution. It is criminal the way they(from the Saudis to the PLO to Syria etc) have not even attempted to temper the wild and growing momentum of the Jihadists. 4) Unfortunately this infection will have to burn it self out and it will get worse before it gets better. It happened to some extent in Iraq as Al Queada was so extreme and violent to the Iraqui Sunnis that they turned against them and sided with us to drive them out. (this destruction of AQ was a benefit of the war) That being said the US and west have to take a firmer and stronger stand with the governments of the Islamic world and demand they not only speak out against the Jihad but invest in the institutions (good secular schools, relatively honest and efficient government) and create an economy that will in its own self will change the dynamic that attracts normal citizens to these groups. For all the chit heaped on him W spoke the best as he did not condem Islam but Jihad and violence. He also tried to get the ME governments to act right more than others have. I think others including BHO and GHWB were too accomodating and allowed the rhetoric to flow. Romney blew it big time today. I can't vote BHO in any dream but Romney is nothing. I may vote Libertarian. Go Gary Johnson!
