In all seriousness, I would take Slick Willy back as Prez and Gingrich back as Speaker in a heart beat. Both of them realized that history doesn't remember the ones who get nothing done. As much as they bickered publicly they balanced the budget together, reformed welfare and honestly made government more effective. In hindsight I would give my left nut for that kind of cooperation and statesmanship.

    speaking of clintons and religions:

"The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others." - hillary clinton in response to the killing of the american diplomat in libya over the anti muslim movie.

fucking bitch. cowardice. the united states has no position on attempts to denigrate religion or any school of thought on anything. the united states supports the rights of those who denigrate religion and will fight to the death to protect those rights. hillary clinton should shut her stupid mouth and condemn the killers. free speech is not deplorable, its terrific.

That statement was made in response to the protests at the American Embassy in Cairo, before the killing in Libya. The statement regarding the attack is that the US strongly deplores the action.

However, it is a fine line the Pres and his staff are trying to draw by being sympathetic to the hurt feelings of Muslims but being outraged by their actions. Republicans are going to go hog wild with this.

Of course it does. You just posted it.

Try not to be so stupid. You can defend the rights of someone to speak and still find their speech to be deplorable, obviously. There is no mutual exclusion here.

grow up Martin and quit acting like a child. for someone who claims the mantle of being an intellectual you sure do come down on the wrong side of intelligent arguments on a frequent basis. this isn't cowboy diplomacy via sound bytes.....we've seen the results of that and we'll pass, thanks.

looks like the Republicans already are going hog wild with it and they are going to lose more precious ground with independents by stomping their feet and beating their chests and acting like the savages who carried out these attacks. in fact, Romney's campaign couldn't even let 9/11 pass without launching an attack on the President. Shame on him for attacking the President on a national day of mourning just because he is getting his ass kicked in the polls right now.
