Why is beating Auburn such a big if? LSU is ranked #10. LSU were #6 when then unranked Florida beat them. I've learned this from college football. Anything can happen, and it usually does. Examples: Mizzou beats Nebraska. LSU's desperation win over UK last year. Miami constantly being overrated.(constantly..they have the weakest schedule I have ever seen for a #2 team)
West Virginia has a pitiful record but they must save it all up for the big games. They completly outplayed Miami and the Canes were lucky to pull out a win in the last few seconds of the game.
The only way those BCS pricks are going to elevate either LSU or Georgia over Miami and V Tech is if they both have 2 losses. I think Miami will beat V Tech so I'm hoping they lose to Tennessee and get knocked off by somebody else too. When is the NCAA going to come out of the dark ages and start having a D1 playoff system?
Anybody here think that Virginia Tech was caught looking ahead toward the game against the Miami Hurricanes?
Isn't against the law to lie on TV? If Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and Trev Alberts say we suck on TV then it must be true. I just hope the Tiger defense can hold Cadillac and Jacobs to under 200 yards each.
I dont think so. We still get the advantage of the SEC championship game. I would think that if there is only one unbeaten at the end of the year (Oklahoma), the other team would probably come from the winner of the SECCG, assuming they only have one loss. UGA was already #4, and this VT loss will put them at #3 (if they can beat UAB, that is ). If Miami loses, they will move to #2. If that happens, UGA must lose to get beat out for the Sugar.
I think you are being optimistic. The pundits are usually right, and Cadillac could easily have 300+ yards on Saturday. I don't think Lavalais can bring him down. However, Lavalais is a big guy, so if he can fall down at just the right moment, Cadillac may trip over him a few times.
