    I don't pretend to understand the BCS but I think it would be because margin of victory is not a factor in the computer rankings. Unfortunately, if USC does win by 40, the human pollsters will be so busy trying to come up with superlatives to describe the greatness of the Trojans that they won't even pay attention to LSU vs. Georgia. The pollsters will be penciling in USC at #2 with one hand and...well, I don't have to tell you what their glee will have them doing with the other hand.

    A 40-0 victory by USC helps them in the human polls of course. It's only a W in the computer polls. It looks just the same as a 3-0 victory.

    I think you are right, but I believe it is more important for LSU to have an impressive win over GA and the voters will have to address the fact that LSU dominated a very good GA team. I think this SEC championship game will probably be better than most BCS bown games. Especially an overrated USC team getting killed by a very good OU team.
