1. I would have to agree 100%.
Too many rumors, not enough facts on this just yet. All we know for sure is some kind of fight took place and Chase will be looking at some kind of punishment that fits what he did. We will just have to wait and see.
  2. So, one second it looks good for him - the next it looks bad. We just don't know yet, might not ever know what really happened.

A question, is this a sign of things to come? Miles never had many problems at OSU & I expect the same from him at LSU, but I think that he'll have to show that he can discipline players & not let Chase off to lightly for this incident.
  3. At 6'4", 260 lbs, Pittman could have stopped what was happening without breaking the guy's head. Second degree battery is a felony which involves serious bodily injury, probably more than just loss of consciousness. This is more serious than just a little scuffle. Was the girl being groped or was she getting beat? Pittman's response was obviously excessive.
  4. So Kirston Pittman will be starting now?
  5. Right on! But the problem Chase faces is that when a person--especially an athlete from a high profile program does it, one can only assume that the "injured party" will claim EVERYTHING from a painful abdomen to whiplash to attempt to turn a profit.

Athletes are extremely vulnerable these days--especially seeing widely publicized incidents with guys like Kenny Rodgers pushing a camera man, etc., and the athletes reactions, people are going to start aiming for dollar signs, and start egging these guy on even more. ....or....they just want to be the one to tell their friends, "Yeah, I fought so-and-so--that jock...."
  6. also a good point....hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right.

Hope all of this is resolved soon.
  7. In this case it appears as though the guy making snow angels in the concrete with blood coming out of his ears just might be the vulnerable party.

I have no sympathy for Chase Pittman if this was not last resort self-defense and I hope he gets dealt with because this ain't Evangel and this ain't Austin, Texas...

I have successfully navigated through 26 years of life without ever getting into a fight. I go out several times a week and I am no introverted prude - no fights, not really even a close call. My girlfriends have been groped, my hood has been disrespected, I've been too drunk to form thoughts, I've felt invincible, I've gotten caught up in the moment, and I've been so pissed off I could shoot someone in the face - still, never been in a fight and I don't remember leaving any woman's "honor" out to dry...

  8. No kidding.

I was referring to SCRAPPY himself and HIS comments about what HE would do. Scrappy would walk away and call the cops even if he saw something going on that he could prevent, ie go over and say something in a non-violent manner.

I have no idea what happened in the incident with Chase so there is no way for myself or anyone to judge the situation.
  9. Again, stuff I say is twisted wrong. If the guy is right in front of me groping this girl and I could tell that she was not liking it and he was out of line, I'd confront him. I would go looking to fight, but I'd try to handle it in an mature manner. But, if the guy is no where around, the girl comes up to me and says shes been groped, why put yourself at risk of a.getting hurt ( never know, some idiot could have pool cue or a beer bottle or something eventually), b. jeopardizing your future c. making yoru team look bad. No one is in immediate danger, so why not just go tell the authorities and let them handle the situtation. No, you had to be a big shot didnt ya? Again, we dont know what happened so I'm not going to say what happened or didnt happen. But, if that is how it played out, then he handled it wrong.
  10. Mr. Idiot,

Sorry about that. I felt like you were putting words in my mouth I never said. Sorry
