Well...no shocker, but Chase was arrested for 2nd deg. battery

Mebbe a bit premature to assume that. For starters, LM had barely settled in when this broke, and more importantly, it pales in comparison to what we're seeing at some other programs ( UT, USC, FSU, GT, BC ) As long as the pendulum doesn't swing to the Bobby Bowden end of the spectrum, LM will do fine..... he's not known for putting up with any BS ( a trait he shared with Saban, eh?)

 

I won't say much, but I'll tell you guys that I know the girl in question and the word is that Chase's story is 100% true. Some guy grabbed her and wouldn't let go, and she hit him and he wouldn't stop so Chase punched his lights out.

 

My prediciton is that all charges against Chase will be dropped. Because if the goon who got knocked the F--K out, did grab and grope a girl then she can file charges against him. So in order to make this whole thing to go away all charges will be dropped.
Les will reprimand Chase for using his fists instead of his head and likely suspend him for a half or some other punishment.

 

I remember standing next to chase at fan day last year. That is one big dude, I know I wouldn't want to get him mad.

 

I hope it does all go away.

I'm just glad this thread took a turn from uninformed, knee-jerk excuses and minimalizations to recognizing the possibility of Chase being in the wrong and, if so, worthy of harsh swift punishment.

In times like this, we must circle the wagons around the program/LSU. This does not mean just blindly defending our own, but rather defending the good name of LSU from foreign and domestic threats.

I would be proud to have fans of a rival team read this thread.

Just a thought, but I bet Chase has a lot of built up anger regarding his brother's untimely death. I know it's been a couple of years and he's had time to deal with psychologically, but maybe he's never vented physically(except for the football field). I'm probably reaching, but just throwing this out there.
