Make sure you finish up that degree at Nicholls. It's important to get an education, even if it's middle school-level.

Sure you can. But if you post thoughts that many Tigers feel are unwarranted and with which they disagree strongly, then you will get some powerful negative feedback. That is the price for freedom of speech. We don't have to like your speech.

Also consider than being a MAJOR downer on the day after an important Tiger victory is felt to be anti-LSU by most folks. Save it for the off-season. That is the kind of stuff that opponent posers do when they come here to cause trouble. We should be talking about our bowl prospects or about Georgia instead of having a dozen threads by people bitching about how unstylish we look while winning. Recruits read these boards after big games and the nattering nabobs of negativity just make LSU look bad. I find this hard to forgive.

The anti-Miles, anti-Jimbo slant of many of these posts go WAY beyond constructive criticism. It is just mindless ranting by people who demand PERFECTION in every game and in every season. No school in the country plays good enough to make some people happy around here.

So, speak freely--all you want to. But if others think you are full of it, they will speak freely in putting it down with all the eloquence thay can muster.

after the Hog win Im convinced. Most fans are idiots. 80 percent of people I've heard either on radio or average fan in bar room is complaining about the predictable play calling. I kept this in mind while watching the game live knowing it was gonna come up when not the case. It was far from conservative the majority of the game. At times you must play that way given the situation yet when I hear that jimbo was so predictable, I predict that fan is an idiot. And Im usually right.

edit: and your nice little use of alliteration doesn't go unappreciated.

Red55, will you please let any of us that have an opinion different than your own know when it is time to express it. I was unaware that we needed to post on a certain schedule so that only certain people can read and respond. After all, we don't want to upset the applecart and get your panties all in a wad now do we?

Read the post again. You can post any opinion you want to, whenever you want to. But if you want it to be seen as constructive criticism instead of mindless bitching and if you want people to agree with you, then understand:

    1. Timing is important. Don't throw cold water on people who are celebrating a West Division championship. Bore us later in the week, or in April when we don't have much football to talk about. But fair-weather fans like you won't be around in the off-season, will you?

    2. Mix in some positive comments and something that shows us that you have more to offer than to just point fingers at the coaches. Something that indicates that you may have actually watched a football game before.

    3. Try to understand the difference between winning ugly and losing. I sat through six straight losing seasons inthe 1990's. I can say without reservation that winning ugly is GREAT. GREAT, do you hear me?

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? No one is telling you that you can't post whatever you want. Negative posts aren't being deleted. You are free to post anything you want.

But just like anything else, you should be prepared to defend your position and expect people to challenge what you say if they disagree.

That, my friend, is free speech...

Again I say if people don't like to win even if it is ugly then we should get Gerry D. back. I really like him on the side line but we didn't win many games back then.
