Weis is a 100 times better coach... If you honestly think this is ND being racist, we got problems. Ty is just a "decent" coach, whereas Weis is one of the best of our time. Ty inherited a decent setup and did well, but once his teachings sunk in, the losses were the norm. Weis inherited a wounded duck program, and he will make them champions.
Now back ot the thread... They could have signed him to a 30 year deal, because this is Charlie's last job, unless he gets fired. He won't stab ND in the back. He loves them too much! Plus: he already has 3 Superbowl rings :thumb:
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on there, cowboy. The man hasn't even coached an entire season, and he has only beaten one team with a winning record (did Michigan win tonight?). Just like you always say that we shouldn't judge Miles after a few games, there is no way in hell that anyone should even dream of bestowing such a distinction to Weis at this point. His team has certainly looked impressive in some outings, but no way has he done anything yet that will put him in the upper echelon of coaches in our lifetime. That's not to say that he can't or won't, he just hasn't.
The dude is an offensive genius... They will ALWAYS score... I know if you master the NFL game, the college defense will be MUCH easier to dominate... When it is all said and done, Weis will be the best coach in ND history... you all just can't see it, because you hate ND too much to be objective
Well you can't expect him to recruit 11 5 star freshman to make the defense good in 1 year... They have no defensive talent... Hell, Nick Saban came here and inherited a bad defense, and his 1st year... the defense SUCKED... It's amazing how little things like talent work
