So, time for ESPN to change their graphic in their commercials and "#4 LSU".

    I will never understand polls.

Michigan State beats Notre Dame AT ND yet is behind them the following week?
Auburn is tied of Georgia Tech yet Tech beat them at their own place AND AU has wins over two patsy teams and maybe the worst team in the SEC?

AU is tied with Tech and not ahead of them. :eek:lefire: is definately the worst team in the SEC.

How can the top 25 be out if LSU has not played their game yet, because common sense says that if LSU smacks tennessee around, theres not way VT jumps to 3. Will the media change after this game. Don't think so. They will not move down again until they lose.

Call the media and polls what you will, I still contend that they are a bunch of self serving "BASTARDS"! If usuck or nd were in our position, no way they get passed up by the likes of vt. Just makes the road a little harder for the TIGAHS to traverse.

LSU has played 1 game... V-Tech is 4-0... they deserve to jump us... You have to look at it this way.. LSU was #3 after winning only one game... it takes a 4-0 to jump us.. when LSU is 4-0, look for them to shoot back up...

I don't think so, VT is not going down unless they lose again.

Va Tech jumping LSU makes total sense for this poll.

    VT is 4-0.

    LSU, 1-0.

What's so confusing? Even I can take off the purple and gold shades and admit that playing a grand total of 1 game during the first 3 and a half weeks of the season--when others have played a full third of their schedule already--will have ramifications.

Beat Tenn and LSU is right back at #3. Go 12-0 and they'll finish #2 due to SOS and such.

    Not rocket science, folks.

Does the fact that TN moved up 2 spots in the USA Today poll help LSU?
In other words, beating a number 9 versus a number 11 should help our BCS standings, right?

I think we are jumping the gun a bit here. First of all, how did Virginia Tech pass us? Because they won this weekend, and we didn't play (at the time of poll release). LSU is about to play a game every week for the rest of the season. Virginia Tech still has two off weeks. Guess what game one of those Bye weeks corresponds with? Florida. We beat Florida while VT sits at home, and suddenly we are back at 3.
