Unless Corey had 6 tackles near the line of scrimmage, against running backs, then, no, I still don't think that's a "good" game. And I don't know, I didn't watch the game, but if CW DID have 4 of those tackles near the line of scrimmage by adding run support, then the opposing QB didn't do too well checking off and going to play-action enough, to keep the corner's honest.

So, for either of your instances, my post didn't apply.

I don't know about you, but in my playing days in high school I played SS and some CB and at the end of the game, the fewer tackles vs WR's I had, the better I felt because that meant that perhaps I covered my man well enough to force the QB to look elsewhere, or perhaps the WR I guarded in that situation just stunk and they had no plans to throw to him anyways.

By the way, what's with you jumping all over me, going on a tangent, taking what I said about Webster's play, and using it to imply that I think Landry stinks?? Put down the purple and gold glasses for 5 seconds, and look at things a little less biased, will ya? Don't know where you're from, pal, but where I'm from, I have the right to voice my own opinion about a subject--especially when I provide reasons for why I came to that opinion. NEWS FLASH: NOT EVER FORMER TIGER PLAYER IS GOING TO BE A GREAT NFL PLAYER SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY CAME FROM LSU. At this point, all we know is that Corey Webster was a GREAT college CB. Last I checked, that doesn't mean squat at the next level. Do I like Webster? Absolutely! I think he's a very talented player, and I'm thrilled that he spent 4 years playing at LSU and I'm thankful for all that he has done both on the field as a player, helping out the team that I care about reach National prominance, and for what he's done off the field representing LSU. But by no means does that force me to feel that I can't be a little critical--God knows the Giants front office is more critical than me, so why the concern over what I say?

Not jumping on, I meant no harm, I thought I was just entering the discussion, by adding my two cents. I was simply pointing out that your comments made little to no sense. Not because you are completely wrong, as I stated, but because you have to know the situations in which those tackles were made.

Just talking football man, nothing personal.
