So what I've gathered is we're really the shithole university (administration-wise that is).

Anybody watching Senior Bowl practice on the U? Darrell Williams has put on some poundage. He looks like Eddie Lacey. Hell, he looks like he ate Eddie Lacey .

We need more of the sounds of silence from politicians.

Is JBE pushing to gain some political control over coaching salaries, or is he just jacking off his poor Democratic base? If so, circle the wagons; if not, I could not care less what that fucking liberal blowhard has to say.

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs"

I have wondered about this guy from day 1. He seems to be out of touch with the inner workings of his job and dabbles in matters he should stay out of. He seems to have absolutely 0 buisiness or political skills to hold such a high office. I can only imagine he got in because the alternative choice was worse. Louisiana has enough problems that require a strong leader and not someone who is preoccupied with toys that don’t belong to him. If you cap coaches salaries you will end up with the equivalent of state workers who only do the minimum to get by. Without the free market there will be no incentive to work toward superiority!

He'll never get that passed but I didn't think he meant it as a state goal.
I hate to say it but I agree that it's out of hand. Am I alone in this?

And yet Edwards likes to fly to away games on the team plane and throw footballs with the players at the multi million dollar practice facility paid for lock, stock and barrel with money generated by the football team.
