1. I agree with West Coast Tiger.
Red 55, we have a good run defense and we are statistically ranked #1, but Auburn will show if we are a good run defense or truly a great run defense. If we prove to have a great run defense in the Auburn game, we will win a BCS bowl game. If we are just good, we will be a 9 or 10 win team who will not get to the SEC Championship.
  2. Definition of lswho class right there...go read a book you dumbfark...

And you guys keep blabbing about a #1 ranked D or whatever but wasn't that what you were saying last year and how many points did Auburn score before we let up on you??
  3. And exactly what has any of that got to do with what happens next Saturday? Do you really think Cadillac will rush for 6 TDs again? The only area that the Real Tigers defense has shown any weakness has been in the air. Chris Leak had a great game. David Greene had one scoring strike as did USC's Pinkins. Campbell might get lucky on one play but you can't beat our D by staying on the ground.
  4. It has nothing to do with Saturday but it's just funny because it's the same thing you were saying last year and that "#1" D got torched...you'd think you guys would have learned...
  5. Arkansas didn't have 8 in the box like USC

IMO, USC had 8 in the box and was damned and determined to not let you guys run at all........Georgia Tech did the same thing. I was shocked to see Arkansas not have 8 in the box and shut that crap down. USC was in the backfield before the ball was and you did nothing with it.

With the O-line you guys have, even Earl Campbell couldn't run through 8. You have to make Campbell beat you........if we do it any other weay, we are idiots.
  6. Mississippi State has the #100-ranked rush defense in the country. Auburn is going to find out the differrence between #1 and #100 this Saturday.

Last year LSU lost its starting QB and the green backup threw 4 interceptions. That is not the case this year. If the Auburn team is resting on last years laurels, as AuNuma1 is, they are in for a surprize.
  7. That same O-line you are talking about got their ears chewed off by the coaches right after the GT game and decided that it was their responsibility to make holes for the RBs. I think they got the message.

Chat after Tech lights fire in AU offensive line

    WAR DAMN EAGLE!!
  8. So that's the difference?

They were a green O-line for those first two games too........moving alot, putting you guys in the 2nd and long situations. Hey, you don't have to tell me that AU is much improved like I knew they would be. I wished we had played ya'll then and not now.

I just love though from one week to the next, AU is a nothing team and now all world and unbeatable. And that comes from your own fans..we all do the same thing though. We'll see on Sat. night how they look.
  9. And if lswho is resting on the laurels of how they've stopped their previous rushing attacks, they are in for a surprize.

Auburn has shut down the SEC's leading rushers so far. lsu has a good chance of meeting the same fate, as they'll HAVE to go to the air to beat us. Auburn welcomes that as lsu will get some points through the air but not enough to win the game as Auburn will control the clock and grind out their own running game...

Neither team has an all world QB, let's just face it. The team that establishes the run will win...bank on it.
  10. Neither team has an all-world QB . . . true. But I think that the team that can manage a good passing game will win this one. Both defenses are stout against the run but can be exploited in the air. If either team gets down by 3 scores, they are in trouble.
