The problem with sticking with Russel is that he seemed to be a little rattled at one point. It's nice to have Marcus available to take some pressure off of Russell. I think it was in the second quarter that Russell just threw a couples balls right at the feet of our WR's. I don't think he can take the roll full time yet. That does not at all mean I want Randall to be full time either though. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't make it Russell's duty to lead this team, but his privelidge to do so.

Sheesh!!! Man, trust me, I'm JUST as pissed as anyone else! I went into a temper tantrum, throwing hats, caps, cups and everything else around me that wasn't breakable, but I'm NOT going to say "this is not our year" as if the only measure of success is a National Championship season.

Auburn still has to walk through the rest of their SEC schedule, as does Georgia and Florida and if there's one thing that the SEC has shown is that you would have to be a SUPER POWER to go through your conference schedule undefeated.

There's a LOT of football left to be played. Tonight's UT/UF game will produce a winner and a loser, but you're telling me that you're confident enough to say that whichever one of those teams lose tonight doesn't stand a chance in hell of making it to the SEC title game as the East Division champ??? Get real.

We lost a game that could have easily gone either way. We didn't play well on offense, yet still had a chance to walk out of there with a "W". It just didn't happen that way. This is just ONE loss!!!!

I never thought of LSU fans as "fair weather", but a remark such as "this just isn't our year" after their FIRST loss of the season sounds absurd!!! :po:

Russell ain't ready yet. He had plenty of opportunities but couldn't match Randall's touchdown drive. I agree he has a lot of upside, but there is some reason that Nick isn't going with him.

My wild-ass guess is that Russell doesn't play the offense properly and is doing things that piss Nick off. Enough playing time may cure that, or it may not. But we can't lose games trying to develop a quarterback.

Neither QB has separated himself yet.

I think Randall looked better today, plain and simple. Some of you sound like you've been riding the Russell bandwagon so long and hard that you just can't admit to yourself that except for the first half of the first game, Randall has looked pretty darn good. In addition, had he been in today on some of Russell's drives, and been able to scramble and run, we very well could've won. Russell doesn't scramble well, and until he becomes more consistent and learns the offense, he can't handle it alone. And I hate to be the one to remind you, but Randall drove for our only TD today, and looked pretty darn impressive in doing so. It's time to get off the bandwagon. Russell (and Flynn) are the the future of LSU, but it's not time to throw away the season after game #3. And Randall deserves more credit than ya'll are giving him. You're still acting like he is the Randall of two years ago, and he's plainly better than he was then.

The QB is an obsolete position anyway. We should just put 4 tight ends in and a fullback and just snap it to the running back.
