In that case, they should just play "whoever" at QB. :dis: I wonder what caused the team to "gell" in the last game... hmmmmm time off? :nope: hmmmm I wonder. :dis:
so many people mis the intangibles of Qb play. Watch Brady then Watch Brooks. nuff said. bye now.

    JR has a stronger arm.
    MF has better legs.

Everything else is debatable to some degree. I loved watching MF play. He was collected and confident, an obvious winner.

I'll say this, if the Peach Bowl Performance is par for MF, then he should be the starter. With MF at the helm, LSU was a smooth machine.

I want the best QB to start and i hope our LSU coaching staff makes the right choice. Flynn came in and stepped up when he needed to. JA and Hester ran the ball really great which helps the passing game out. Our O-line opened some huge holes for the guys also . Our Defense kept Miami's O off the field which was also great for Flynn .Its gonna be an interesting time seeing who takes over at QB. If RP is as talentive as everyone says he is he could switch to a receiver for a season maybe two.

It is certainly an interesting situation, but I think Russell will be the starter next year if he is healthy. But count on Flynn and Perrilloux getting significant play time. We will have to play Perrilloux if we expect to keep him, and we have to keep him because he is the future.

I'm a day late, but I'll add my .02, cause I don't think anyone else has mentioned it.

You all sound like this big win was just about MF vs. JR. I don't think so. I applaud MF, he played a great game. I liked his decision making better than some of JR's. His execution was sharp. We do have a QB controversy.

But my impression of the game was that Joe Addai was healthy. Big difference. I think the whole team knew MF was a first time starter, and that in order to win, they each personally had to step up their game. The Oline had to protect better. The team had to run the ball most of the time, so Matt didn't have to pass all the time and let Miami blitz him. The receivers had to catch the ball to keep Matt out of 3rd and long. The D needed to limit Miami's scoring.

I think the whole team got healthy, rested, wanted to win, and they rallied around their first time starter to help him out.

Then Matt went out and did his job, very well, thank you.

It was a total team effort.

Yeah I agree. After watching the replay several times, it was obvious this game was over the minute Addai came out of the tunnel. He was healthy and on a mission. He punished would be tacklers and made Miami's defense look horrible. All there speed was second tier to him Friday night. His cutbacks were brutal, and they had no answer.

takes a team effort, no one is minimizing what addai contributed, but there was at least two plays where Matt scrambled to help us gain big yardage and a first down, among other things. This would not have been done otherwise.

Not exactly. Russell has a 60.3% completion percentage even though many of his passes were dropped by receivers. Flynn has a 54% completion percentage. Russell is the more accurate passer.
