Dude, do you not see the 50 posts I've made tonight saying how good Flynn played?

Do you hate JR that much? If that's the case then fine, just say that. It is obvious that that is the point you are trying to get across.

You think Flynn should have started all year. Obviously the coaches did not.

Once again Flynn played great. I guess you think I am trying to discount that, I don't know.

Anyway. Truce. and Happy New Year!

good post, at least you didn't blame "playcalling"
no doubt JR is incredible athletically.

I just heard them say on ESPN that COker told his players at the half that LSU wasn't doing anything different, nothing new, he said you can go out and play like men or get embaressed.

just thought I'd mention that, i didn't hear it in the original airing.

I don't think we did anything new, we just executed what we did very well.

Actually, Coker said, "Actually, these guys aren't doing anything different. The only thing new I see is that they're not sucking on offense and they're kicking the $hittt out of us. Other than that, I'd say things are going just as I expected. Now, lets go get em' boys!" Coker runs out of the locker room and the mascot is the only one that runs out and follows him. The rest of the team fights over who is going to be first in line at the consession stand for popcorn.

No i like JR, my biggest beef with him is frustration. he has all the tools, just should be developing more. faster. I hope he is a hiesman candidate next year, I just want the best chance the Tigers have to win at the helm and right now that isn't JR. but next year? who knows.

As far as the coaches decision goes? I wont second guess them but you remember booty/rohan? sometimes the guy that practices best may not BE the best. just a thought.

BTW last year at the football fan day, I sought out JR ( and Skylar ) to get his signature on a football I had. One of the things I like about him best is his sincerity, very proud of him. He always seems to be for the TEAM, putting self last.

I am ready for his break out game though, you know show some stuff, mobility etc.. it's in there somewhere.

Happy new year man, and :geauxtige

I hate pretzels! The call playing in previous games was, I suspect, affected by limitations of the QB performance and play calling. Even in summer practice, MF had a better touch with shorter passes, with JR better with long range bullets.

Looking back in the season, I think the pattern of performance of the offense is such that the team responds better to Flynn at the helm. Doesn't Flynn's performance remind you of Matt Mauck's performance in the SECCG against Tennessee when he was thrown into the fire cold?

As strong as JRs arm is, who had the longest pass completion this season? MF.

JR might be stronger but he obviously is not as accurate as MF. The offense did seem different for the game. But whether that was because of a new QB, I am not completely sold. People are looking over a big fact: We had 3 weeks off before this game. We played 11 games in a row, every weekend. Never had a chance to fully prepare for big games, but with the 3 weeks off our players got to rest and heal up some of the injuries they just had to play with earlier in the season. More than anything I think this blowout of thUg is due to the coaches being able to better prepare. Props goes to Les.

Still, MF played a great game and I CAN NOT WAIT till the Spring game to see JR vs. MF in a great battle.

Agree. Too often fans focus on the QB like he is the only barometer for a team's performance.

The reality is that Matt looked good b/c yes, he played well, but more importantly, EVERYONE seemed to play well. O-line, running backs, defense, WRs, special teams---it was truly a team effort. You can't beat Miami on just 13 passes, three scrambles. The guys rolled up close to 300 yards rushing on one of the best defenses in the nation.

This is just one game where the Tigers were finally able to put it all together. Overall, just shows you in retrospect that the Tigers did have to deal with a lot of external distractions this year. Playing 11 games in a row is taxing.

I'm looking forward to a full off-season and more "normal" conditions so we can see what this team/staff are really made of.

:thumb: Agree with all, except the end. Without sounding too much like the Times Picayune, I'll say only once that Miles did have a lot of obstacles this year... see worst natural disater in US history. So I am a believer in Miles so far. Saban brought us glory, Miles brought us 11 wins for only the 3rd time in school history. True, he was loaded with talent. But, thanks, coach! Now, to get down to the nitty gritty... will Miles take us to the promised land next year after building on our best bowl game ever (next to the '03 SugarBowl, of course?)
