Anyone notice a difference in play calling? How many screens, reverses, and end arounds were there in this game? Seems to me like Flynn had a different range of plays.

Usually the offence is pretty predictable. For me, it was good in the second and third quarter to not have a clue was LSU was gonna run next and they tore Miami's ass up with it.

I was wondering about this also. He didn't appear to be calling anything all night, but this was no where close to what we ran in our previous 12 games so something was different.

I think Miles and Fisher removed their heads from their ass tonight and realized we have as much talent as any team in the country, including USC.

oh yeah, we limited the self destructive drive killing penalties......

I don't know the influence he had at Okie St., but that resembled his Okie St. teams with the short passes, quick runs and then the bomb when they would come up...

    it was really straight forward...

Jimbo's biggest flaw is getting too cute sometimes

I agree, but some of that cute was really cute tonight because it worked. Running Skyler from QB more than once without throwing in a wrinkle was DUMB. I really believe the difference we saw in offense tonight was the difference in Flynn's vision and Russell's.

They call alot of those plays in the reg season, I sat through many. they didn't always work though, so they look different when they work. :dis:

Dude, Flynn played great, no doubt! but if you think that was the same playcalling you are clueless about the game of football.

But then again by reading the other threads you are the only one that sees it that way.

Anyway, to each his own. I'm not really into fighting with other LSU fans right now, I'm celebrating!
