1. quite a few but none of them are named Jamarcus Russel, he cant run for sh1t.
  2. He isn't the most gifted runner, but he's not terrible. Plenty of QBs have been successful without being able to scramble. It's a nice bonus, but far from a necessity.
  3. MF hit every receiver in stride. JR often did not. big dif between a pass thats caught and underthrown and a dead-on pass----doesnt show in stat book, except maybe in yds/completion.

MF threw it away when he should have and scrambled when he should have. JR was only beginning to make those good decisions consistantly. MF did it through out his first start.

while the protection was very good, MF still made several good throws under significant pressure.

i dont think looking at completion % tells the whole story. and as far as making reads, i have no idea who is better. obviously MF did well though.
  4. All these things are the details I referred to.
  5. Everyone said how bad our QBs were last season. Now MF is in the mix and RP waiting on the wing. It is a good thing.

If JR fully recovered from his injury, I expect JR is LSU signal caller next year.
  6. Who is that? :hihi:
  7. sort of a long and old thread. forgot some of what you posted.:thumb:
