We still control our own destiny. Chavis has saved Miles' bacon many years and D should improve through the season. Offense is nuts. I thought rushing wound up on a positive note.

Agree on Freak. Ego wasn't a 5-star, top 5 in the country recruit, so he can't be as overrated.

Somebody in the game chat referenced Karnell Hatcher. In my eyes, we've got 4 guys on this defense as useless are Hatcher was; Loston, Welter, Collins and Eugene.

You need to watch a Saints game. Defense is top 10 in the league at this point in the season.

It's a shame we can't put both of those together. Just think if we had the defense from 2 years ago with the offense from this year. The two rarely match.

Kevin Minter declaring hurt this defense way worse than I thought it would. DJ Welter is terrible. He may be an intelligent kid but he has no business being a starter for LSU. He's a career special teamer at best. Also for once in a long time, we don't have a playmaker on defense.

I've watched all of them. I was thinking last year's defense.

Mettenberger, even with the loss, should be in the race for the Heisman.

He's been that good this season.

Agreed. And by way, both Landry and Beckham were 100+ in receiving yards today.

In actuality I would put Landry in the Heisman race as well.

34 receptions, 520 yards, 7 TDs in just 4 games

He is on pace for 102 catches, 1560 yards, and 21 TDs

Wouldn't those numbers get you in consideration? On an SEC team?

    So proud of that kid.

I couldn't understand why he wasn't seeing the field more in the past 2 seasons. But that had all to do with the phucked up offensive coordinator we had who didn't know what he was doing. Studwara is barely an O-line coach.

It is too bad that we can't seem to get a good passing/running game the same year we have a great defense. Next year we start over again with a new QB. Frustrating. Oh Well. That is the way it is!
