I tend to agree. As upset as the Tigers were with an 8-5 season, they did end it with a bowl game blowout victory. They didn't have the kind of hungry that 0-12 brings a team. We saw some of that in Gerry Dinardo's 2-8 final season. Nick's first team was so hungry to get back to winning that they would have walked on hot coals if that was what it took and Nick took them to an 8-4 season. I'm seeing that kind of turnaround for Washington this year. Good luck.
I saw this during the game, he was the only guy really blocking his tail off. He missed one block but he was tripped by a lineman.
Wow, we're all of a sudden not so hungry? Fa realz? What the flip was all this talk about all off season for? Were we just wasting our collective breaths? Not buying it at all. We got "out-physicaled" at the line of scrimmage, plain and simple. And that is disconcerting to say the least. I say we look at game tape and make the necessary REPLACEMENTS on both lines of scrimmage so that we put ourselves in the best position possible to beat Vandy this week. The current cast of characters will apparently not cut it this season.
We did get handled at the line of scrimmage with a few exceptions. Thats a fact, but the rest was on the coaches, not showing their hand. I say we unleash hell next week.
maybe the team just didnt play well. if anyone didnt use a full playbook it was washington. vandy will pay for this.
My thoughts exactly. I beleive we lost containment. DL play was aggressive, but Locker was able to step up and get away from pressure. Several times he was chased out of pocket by DL or LBs and had the speed to elude the rush. A less fleet footed QB would not get away. This can be tweaked in practice. :geauxtige:helmet::crystal::crystal::helmet::tigereye::milesmic::LSU231::helmet:
After re-watching the game, this would have been a blow-out of the defense has wrapped up Polk when they first hit him instead of letting him break several arm tackles.
