It's a huge rivalry game and if there's one thing I've learned about rivalry game is never to count out one team. No matter how much better one team is to the other, rivalry games take on a whole life of their own.

Anything is possible at this point, just wishful thinking on my part. But it never hurts to think this way. If Auburn beats Arkansas I will root for them to go unbeaten and hopefully get to the Orange Bowl.

It sounds to me like we've got some support from LSU this weekend. Wouldn't that be great for the HOGS to knock off Auburn and then roll into War Memorial at Little Rock to decide the west against you guys. Would be a hell of a way to end the regular season. Have a good by-week, and come on LSU help CALL THOSE HOGS.

I was thinking about this too, probably a little too much. Anyway, what about this situation. First off the main point is Arkansas has to beat Auburn for just about any of the 2 loss scenarios to work. But what if Georgia beats AU, which seems to me to be much more realistic than Bama doing it. Then Ark wins out to the end, and LSU beat Ark. No head to head advantage, everyone is also 4-1 against the west. Then it gets interesting. Looking at the tiebreakers from the sec website it seems like it could come down to a BCS ranking at the end of season to determine who goes to Atlanta. If I recall correctly, something like this almost happened last year in the east before FSU beat Florida. Am I correct with this or am I missing something in the tiebreakers.

It needs to be 2 western division teams that beat Auburn for us to have a shot as the 2nd criteria is the one that would put us over the top, record within the division. That would give Auburn 2 division losses and knock them out. Then us beating Arkansas heat to head would put us in the championship game. If one of Auburn's 2 losses were to UGA then it could come down to the highest BCS ranking like it did last year as the 3 teams would have all lost to UGA, the highest ranked and only common east division opponent.

(Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
    1. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
    2. Record of the tied teams within the division.
    3. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
    4. Overall record vs. non-division teams.
    5. Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
    6. Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
    7. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.

Confusing but it seems as though a lot of confusion has reigned at the end of the college football seasons lately. Let's just pray for Auburn to lose this Saturday if you want us in the SEC CG.
