1. Not sure about JL, but I would like to see RS do more than just run the ball from the shotgun twice a game.

Oh wait, Miles says RS needs to be "worked" into the offense. I guess that means he'll have to wait 2 years before he can showcase all his talents. In the meantime, we'll keep running between the tackles for 2 yards a pop and throw it on 3rd down with an all out blitz.
  2. I am beginning to wonder if a cost-benefit analysis would suggest that putting in Lee might be a good idea. Last year LSU's defense struggled on their own to keep teams from scoring which made those pic sixes very expensive. With an improved defense, the potential to spot the opposition 6 may be worth it in exchange for the potential to score 30+ points.

  3. Not to mention he threw for almost 2000 yards and 15 or so TDs last season... and led LSU at Auburn to a victory... something no QB in LSU history has done in a while. Not saying he should start, but damn, Michigans O struggled at times and they benched their starter for the rest of the game. I say give the kid a shot, he does have a rocket arm and has looked on the mark the few throws he's made this season.
  4. LOL, the ol' give a few for a lot. Hmmm.
  5. With the way our defense is playing -- yes please.
  6. How about actually using Shepard? They burn his red shirt for almost nothing.

At this point, I wouldn't mind seeing Lee have a few series or so, but not the full time starter. Stick Lee in there, if he screws up, pull him out.

I just don't understand how we get a strong lead against ULL, Miss. St. or Vandy and there is no back up QB to get any experience. The same happened last year. The coaching is getting frustrated.

And who is the QB coach?
  7. crowton probably.

all i wanted to say is that lee should definitely be given an opportunity to show off what he can do this season. even if we give the opponent a pick-six, scoring 30 pts a game would offset that. how are people saying that jordan jefferson is young and will get better, but yet it's not possible that jarrett lee has gotten better this season???

  8. I can't understand why so many are still assuming that Lee will continue to give up pic sixes. I would give him the benefit of the doubt that he has improved since last season; he deserves another shot to see if it can help turn things around, and give JJ a breather. I am afraid Sheppard is too young at this stage in the college game, particularly at QB, although his future is bright.
  9. blasphemy! bench a player that you started? why why that would be like admitting you didn't choose the right guy to start!

Miles will never do this! this is absurd thinking, its what Cholly mac or Bear Bryant would do! cant be right. :nope: those guys were clueless!

ban this sucker b4 Miles reads this OMG ......he did not even hint at pulling a starter. :dis: ought to be flogged for even suggesting pulling a starting QB....

I just HOPE this doesn't get back to the hat! :milesmic:
  10. Believe me, JL knows even better than we that he screwed up last year. But that WAS last year, and he has had ample time to realize what he did wrong and how to fix it. He has served his "time" on the bench and should be given some playing time NOW. JJ is suffering some of the same trepidation that JL had last year, and JJ needs someone to spell him at QB. Let JJ calm down and miss the action for a while and learn how much he's missing and how he can correct his lack of confidence. This would help both JL and JJ! Why can't the coaches see this? Rotating them would allow each to play and share success and failure so that the WHOLE GAME would not be entirely on the shoulder of ONE QB.
