Hard to pick a player of the game last night: Bregman was 3 for 4 with a walk and scored 2 runs Laird was 2 for 4 and scored 2 runs and had 1 RBI Rhymes was 3 for 5 with 2 RBI Ibarra was 2 for 4 with a walk and hit 3 RBI Only two LSU hitters didn't get a hit last night: Katz and Jones. But Katz walked twice in five at bats and scored a run. Jones had no walks, was 0 for 4, he scored a run, but only after reaching 1B on a fielders choice that threw Ibarra out at 2B both Rumbelow and Cotton were perfect throughout the 2.2 innings they pitched, retiring all 8 batters they faced for 8 outs...and they both came into the game in clutch situations (1 out, runners 1st & 2nd for Rumbelow...bases loaded, no outs for Cotton)
