Not sure how much rain Baton Rouge got yesterday.

I remember a game against Oregon State...that should not have been close....but a monsoon came in. We could not keep our footing on the field. The wet turf was an advantage to a smaller D-Line.

May explain why we fumbled so much, and Mett did his best Eli impersonation of falling on his arse.

In all fairness to Eli, his lineman stepped on his foot. Mett stepped on his OWN foot.

The field was in great shape. No standing water, no muddy spots. They didn't even use the tarps, the under field drainage system is pretty good.

Dam, hadn't seen this and just asked the same question in another thread.

So anyone got any idea why our usually iron-fisted running backs could not hold onto the pigskin all night? Getting all of this year's fumbles out in one game?

That was startling to this Tiger fan.

Out of everything that sucked about the game, the RB fumbles were, to me, the worst part.

Agreed. That was stunning, and an oddity under Les' tenure here. We really rarely fumble from the tailback spot. Thankfully it happened against Towson. We're in trouble if that happens against any SEC team. Too dangerous.
