It's a very recent development that fake weed is illegal. I truly wish they weren't smoking any of it, but it's possible they thought they were okay with the fake stuff.
Most commercial labs report negative test results the next day, and positives on screening tests have to undergo confirmation testing on GC/MS. Timeframe all depends on uptime on GC/MS instruments, backlog of samples on any particular day, and other business factors. While the test itself only takes a few mins to run, the specimens all have to be checked in, matched to Chain of Custody forms, logged into the system, setup for sampling, results have to be reviewed by the certifying scientist, and then reported. Negative specimens are held for 72 hours, and positives are frozen and stored in the event they have to be rerun down the road due to legal challenges. Some results are reported via fax server, while others are reported electronically. So while it only takes a few mins to run the actual test, all of the other business rules that go into running an accredited lab result in additional time. Our company alone pumps about 25,000 specimens a year through the DS lab we use. Its a volume business, and it takes time to get all the specimens through the process, ensuring high levels of quality control throughout.
this is probably closer to their 10th test positive than 2nd.[/QUOTE] If this was closer to their 10th positive test wouldn't they be suspended for more then one game and more then likely get kicked off the team. I would hope so if this was a fact.
