Re: Re: WMS I've never understood why colleges play at two stadiums. It just seems that it would form a stronger and deeper tradition if they only have one "home". [/B][/QUOTE] I haven't either. But as soon as you talk about moving all the HOME games to the HOME campus, people in southern AR start whining and crying about how it's tradition. Tradition can keep you down. The first year that the BB Hogs played all of their home games in Fayetteville, we won the national championship. Now, they built Alltel arena in Small Stone and the BB Hogs are playing 2 games there, but only while the students are on Christmas break! I still maintain, if we moved all of the FB games HOME, then who knows what might happen! And, for those Hog fans who say that they won't support the Hogs anymore if they move, well, they aren't true fans! GEAUX HOGS!
So, those fans that won't drive up from South Ark won't travel to a bowl game, I guess. I'm pretty sure if they were headed to Tempe, those fans would hock their kids to go!
Oh, they'll go to the bowl games I'm sure. Lots of 'em make that their annual vacation. I guess we shall see!
Re: Re: WMS They've got to get to the capital once in a while so the city folk can catch a game. At Fayetteville all you've got are the Beverly Hillbillies...Before they struck oil.
Re: Re: Re: WMS If it weren't for Northwest Arkansas, the rest of the state would be like Mississippi with shoes!
