Its not about being naive, If I would say the samething about Foxnews and Obama, you would have had a defense for it. It has nothing to do with being naive. I just dont believe CBS has a slant to the degree of MSNBC or FoxNews. Katie Couric is very favorable to women, I dont think she treated Palin unfairly.
its not about making her look unfavorable. its about getting viewers. often its one and the same, though. if she were able to come up with some encouraging, substantial, inspiring message like obama or even romney they'd air that stuff, too.
"I don't mean to belabor the point, but..." Translation: Gotcha bitch. No way anyone could answer that question but I'm going to make you squirm then show that clip for a week leading up to the debate.
did you forget the sarcasm smilie? all she had to say was "as the gov of ak, i mostly read the anchorage daily news" or "National Review" or "FoxNews" or "Time" anything other that "Gannett News Service" would have been better than "all of 'em"
But I think it is more about going for The Story than partisan politics. They hammered The Slick One very hard when he was The Story.
If she's going to play in the big leagues, then she has to play by big league rules: 1. Everything you say is public. 2. Everything you say is recorded. 3. You are responsible for everything you say. 4. Everyone gets difficult and unexpected questions, it's how you handle them that will be remembered.
