My HS team scrimmaged against Patterson when Dalton was a sophmore. I was playing DE, and he ran a sweep to my side. I shed the block and squared off a couple of yards deep to turn him in like I had been taught. He didn't turn....I don't remember anything after that.
In my HS days, my team played against a guy, I can’t even remember his names now, who went on to the NFL. He returned a kickoff, and I essentially ran into him, after he had a head of steam, at about the 45. He went flying; I went out. Picture in Saturday’s paper commented on great open field tackle. I didn’t even remember driving home after game, much less sitting on the bench, in a stupor, the rest of the game! The proverbial “blind squirrel.”
The only transfer QB I can remember is Blake Hawthorne, I'm not sure if that's exactly how to spell his last name. He ended up transferring to Teurlings the next year.
