Wow, you mean Vitale made a mistake? Let's hang him! :yelwink2: You can't fault anyone for loving ACC basketball ... that's where it's at if you're a college basketball fan. Just like SEC football is where it's at if you're a college football fan. Vitale can be over the top at times, but I think he's a good guy and a good promoter of college basketball.
you guys need to relax! nowhere did I claim that vitale wasn't good for college basketball - in fact, I would say he is probably the best ambassador that college hoops has currently. yes, the ACC is probably the best conference in college basketball and should get signficant airtime. yes, it was probably an oversight but maybe I overestimated vitale's know it all attitude because when I read it I was somewhat suprised he was unaware of frazier's return. you gotta admit, vitale comes across as a know-it-all (regardless if he good for college hoops, that's not the point) and to not be apprised that one of the best players in the SEC played significant minutes in a return from a broken foot, franky suprises me. now, if MSU would have won the game, I have a feeling he would have known that frazier played because the story line would have been frazier comes back to propel the dogs to a win. The ESPN talking heads have continued to stress that the SEC is way down this year (which may be right, but I think we need to see the whole season play out), so things like frazier's return may go unnoticed. btw - it still hasn't been corrected.
Itsn't that how expert commentators are supposed to come off. I mean, if it were me giving out all that information and analysing the teams and games I doubt if man people would care to listen to or read my comments.
Can I add Bill Walton to the list of most annoying humans to have ever lived? :hihi: Vitale knows alot, but he is all about Puke, every year. I am surprised he does not go be the AD for Duke. He hypes them up EVERY YEAR, and when you listen to their games he makes them seem like they are unbeatable.
I dont think it is right to fault one of the best college basketballs analyst on one mishap. If you were a sports analyst and looked at the score of the game, your first thought would be Frazier did not play. He knows how big of an impact he has on MSU's team. He does talk about ACC, Big 10, and Big East alot more than other conferences. Thats because they make up over half of the at-large teams that are getting in. If you were a Louisville fan in football, would you write this about Corso: He always talks about the Big 12 and SEC, but never about Conf USA. Of course not, because you know that analyst only talk about the major conferences. Most of the time the major conferences in which have a lot teams in the top 25. I guess my comments were harsh, sorry bout that. It was early morning and people are cranky then. And as far as the sand wedge......Its in the shop.
friday is right, no doubt about it. it is vitale's job to know this stuff. especially about two pretty good teams--especially about arguably the best defensive player in the league---especially WHEN HE SPECIFICALLY REFERS TO THAT PLAYER IN HIS ARTICLE. fewer green dots for vitale
