Virginia Fan Coming to the Florida Game

  1. Hello All:

    We are a huge football family, UVA grad and big LSU fan. Never been there before. Been wanting to get to a game with my son for several years. Planning on coming to the Florida game and had some questions.

    Where should we sit to best soak up the atmosphere. Need to see and enjoy the band. Should we sit near the band?

    Where should we stay and any tips on getting in and out? Saw some parking passes for sale. Is that recommended?

    What activities are a must see? Whether Friday night, pre game or after the game. My son is a sophomore in high school, so unfortunately, no strip clubs.

  3. Get there early enough to see the band and players coming up the street to the stadium.
  4. Here's what TigerCliff posted for gameday festivities for the NW game. Obviously the time could be different if CBS picks it up (hopefully not), but you can still follow it and adjust accordingly:

    9 a.m. LSU SportShop opens
    9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Demetrius Byrd/Ciron Black autograph signing at Lod Cook Hotel

  8. IF it's a 7pm gametime then the players walk down at 4:50pm

  9. I would fly into New Orleans(MSY), stay on the South side of BTR. This is a good place to stay, has a Hooters (Oh wait) and a T.J.Ribs real close. Also when heading back to NO, just hop back on I-10.

  10. Thanks. If I do that, what are my best options getting to the game and back? I hear it takes a "while" to get out. Anything for my son and I to do while we wait?
