i was never really impressed with vincent i thought in 03' our lineman were just really dominant and he ran through big holes. so i never really saw vincent being "dominant"
I don't remember Joe Addai have trouble running for his buck fiddy today. Maybe he is wearing different shoes than Vincent. I dunno.
I think Vincent has looked good on runs this year, but he still has problems with fumbles. I don't know what his deal is.
Well, there were a few runs in the SB that he made that had nothing to do with the OLine and everything to do with juking the entire defensive secondary. I think we have so much talent a RB that it is not that hard of a decision to bench one of them for having a bad game.
that exactly what happened he will never be a brussaurd or addai hes to shaky and he looks scared out there
Well he wouldn't have been juking the secondary if the o-line would not have blown the door wide open for him to get there.
He was a 5-star prospect and ran the hell out of the ball in 2k3.. he is obviously a good back... he had good vision in 2k3.. was able to find the cutback lanes and such.. with his lack of playing time, that seems to hvae gone away a bit... next year when he backs up broussard he will be better..
I agree....the only thing you have to worry about (if you're the head coach and you bench a player for fumbles) is that if you're like us, and multiple players keep turning the ball over, you either have to swallow your pride, and re-insert said player, or start pulling people, starters or not, for a few plays to send a message.
I disagree. That's what Saban did in 2004 and Vincent never came back from it. Total loss of confidence. Addai wasn't benched for fumbling. Russell wasn't benched for fumbling and throwing interceptions. None of the receivers that dropped passes in the first two games were benched. Why bench Vincent after one questionable fumble? No, you tell him to shake it off and you put him back in.
