The most troubling and disconcerting thing is that the team was not prepared to play. Coach Brady, for some strange reason, did not have them ready to play!
Re: Worst Display I Can Recall In Years I supported brady for a long time... when stro was here and they had a bad loss to wisconsin in the tourny, I said it was because torris bright was only a freshman. (he went to my high school at slidell high and was under-utilized as a pg because he was a great scorer in the 2 spot). that was a very talented team but young in the back court which doesnt boad well for a basketball team in the ncaa's. Brady lost that game last nite. Tack Minor had no composure. Mitchel looked like he was looking for 3 inches of space to just launch the ball. Hudson couldnt handle the press. The big men played a good game and the team made a great comeback when they started playing to their natural strengths. aggressive defense and above the rim play. LSU recruits on it's own. the players are here it's gotta be the coaching.
ex·e·cra·ble ( P ) Pronunciation Key (ks-kr-bl) adj. Deserving of execration; hateful. Extremely inferior; very bad: an execrable meal. yeah, i'd say that does it justice. . .
EXECRABLE "May I have the language of origin, please?" "Latin." "Could you repeat the word?" "No, it pains me too much." "Could you use it in a sentence?" "No." "Is this a derivation from the root wood, excrement?" "Yes." "Are there any alternate pronunciations?" "John Brady vs UAB."
Man i hate the whole you gotta spread em around before you give to someone else. Not everyone on here desvers points.
To say that JB lost that game all on his own is pretty lame. It was a collective effort to look that bad. The coach will get the brunt of it all b/c he's the coach. Rightly or wrongly thats what happens. Having said that, I heard a guy on the other show saying that he thinks that JB is wasting these kids college careers. I think that is a joke. He says LSU should be going to the Dance atleast every other year. Well, they have gone 2 of the last 3. This guy was making horrible points on JB. JB is doing an admirable job of taking a ****ty program making it competitive again. I know all that matters is Dale won. But, as a previous post mentioned, remember Navy? Remember how he couldnt win the big oen with one of the greatest college bball teams ever assembled. He was stacked that year that they lost in oddly enough, Boise. But, I'm not saying JB doesnt have his faults. B/c he does. But the players do to. I'd like to see JB run more of an offense. But, they won this year. This program has made great strides since the dark years of 93-97 when it was in the crapper.
Very good post i think. You know maybe it was just that fact that outside that arena there was a BLUE football field and that prehaps was just to much to comprehend.
Maybe it was because Big Baby heard 'Taco Bell' and just kept waiting for someone to take his order. Edit: For the love of God, please know I was joking.
There were many factors that were involved here. It was pretty pathetic on all fronts. But, I am in no way dissapointed in this season. After all the low expectations, I think that this run was awesome. There were a lot of good moments. I mean not often do we get to see a 3 ot thriller at the PMAC. There were some great dunks, and passes, and big shots that made this a fun season. I mean, who else hear watched that Bass shot against Kentucky bounce and bounce and bounce and finally go in. Moments like that made it fun.
