Grant's high school teams captured three state titles, five straight national rankings in USA Today and an overall record of 172-11. He was an assistant under Donovan for 12 years and 10 at Flordia and he helped with two NC. The same may not happen here; however, We will win and be better than we were under Brady.

Tim Floyd is 6-6 in the dance (probably about to be 6-7).

    Brady was 6-4 at LSU.

Granted Brady didn't get there nearly enough. I understand that. And I do acknowledge that a bag of rocks can do better than Brady. I just wonder why everyone is so set on Grant.

My whole moral of the story is that I think LSU should look around more and not just assume UF was right. :)

    Not the point.

What? He called them one of the top programs in the country and I pointed out that they didn't even make the dance. Seems like an astute observation to me.

Because people hear that they beat Duke and was an assistant at Florida. People get excited about successful young guys. The majority of people dont know anything about the guy except for that.

Is that the answer you are looking for? ;)

We only know Grant from reputation. clair is right, we don't know much about him but then again we don't do the hiring. Lombardi knows a lot about him as I'm sure Skip does. Fans are just fans, we tend to get excited about things that are possibly worthy of excitement. Grant sounds worthy of excitement therefore the fans get excited about the prospect of him coming to LSU. However, I'll just sit back and let the powers that be hire the best coach they can lure. If that is Grant, he sounds like a sound choice. If it is someone else, that's fine too.

How many final fours did Brady have before he got here?
I don't know where these guys all coach but I'm betting its at smaller schools just like Brady did.
You don't get the same quality recruits at smaller programs like you do at the bigger ones.

I could care less about Brady and all this BS.
The point is Sabanfan is here to play mind games.

Keep in mind people, basketball including LSU basketball is just to kill time before baseball starts so his motives are obviously different from the rest of us, he doesn't care for basketball!
I would bet my pack check that he hopes LSU basketball sucks for the next 11 or 12 years just to show he is right for once about basketball.
So far I have his number!:lol::lol:
