That all you got? Getting slow in your old age aren't you. By the way how many national championships did Saban and Miles have before they came to LSU? Not much of a proven track record either. Remember Saban only had one really good year at MSU, Miles a couple of fluke wins over Oki-homo. I know you have a really hard time breaking up with coaches but give us a break, did you really think Brady should stay?
do i know a lot about grant? No. Did one of the top programs in the country (and two time defeding national champs) have him as their #1 until their coach came back? Yes. Good enough for me!
davis has one. plus a win there. not that i want him. now that i think about it, i dont want grant anymore now that donovan and pelfrey have swooned over him. just like with donovan's and odom's praise of brady solely for selfish motives.
I'm going to relate this to my 1st post. I don't care about how this relates to football and this has nothing to do with who I want or who I don't want. The point is: What does anyone here know about Grant? The answer: Nothing. So with that being said, why does he appear so sexy to everyone? Without googling, tell me all you know about VCU's style of play the past 2-3 years. SabanFan said it best. the 4 lovey-dovey choices all have less Final Fours combined than Brady did.
So I'll ask you the same question, should LSU have kept Brady? I know nothing about Grant but I know more than enough about Brady. Are there any better coaches than Grant knocking down LSU's door?
absolutely he should have been fired. and i don't know if there are better coaches than grant. Grant may come here and win 20 games for 40 straight years. I just want to know why people like him if they don't know him. Basically the question is why do we like unknown Grant over unknown joe-blow somewhere else? Add Lon Kruger to my list, btw... Someone mentioned him in an old thread and I dismissed the notion, but I was wrong. he is a real good coach.
I haven't watched much basketball the past 2 years (as a result of LSU sucking), so I really don't know anything about VCU's style. What I do know is that Grant is very highly respected in the profession, he's done a terrific job at VCU, and was UF's #1 choice had Donovan left. You don't have to know a coaches style to see that he's a great coach. As head coaches, which Grant has been for two years. And yet I'll go ahead and guarantee that Grant will be much, much better than Brady was here. He'll get the fans excited & attendance will be very good, players & fans won't hate him, and he will have a much higher winning percentage.
