And yet, women's basketball is the sport played at its purest form; it's fundamental basketball. As soon as we get into men's the sport becomes weaker in my view. The majority of time we're watching athletes versus basketball players. A few weeks ago a guy mentioned to me that he'd like to see either the lane narrowed or perhaps even a point reward for anything under the basket. I wouldn't mind seeing an adjustment to the three second lane to get the inside aspect of basketball back into the game. On the same note ... anyone who's going to maintain golf isn't a sport isn't walking the course here this week.
There's arena soccer for that. Not as exciting as you might think. Lots more scoring but no strategy.
I've been watching wbball for three years,.. I much like seeing the game played below the rim,.. I'm starting to enjoy it more than the men's game
When I played in high school there were nine to 12 different teams we played per year. Everyone of those had field dimensions at 100X50. They started the program at my school my ninth grade year and the coach made our field 120X65. It really had an impact on visiting teams' corner kicks. Those extra yards gave a strong home field advantage.
I will give you that. But it is boring and unwatchable. Its so bad. I agree that the 3 pt line has taken the low post game and essentially the C position out of the game and its sad.
So purest form means the whitest most unathletic version. Im a bobby knight and john wooden fan but the wnba is pretty fn bad. That sinoly means its time for a testosterone shot.
