I can assure you I’m not. You need to read what I posted very closely. In fact my reference TO an infield fly was because I DO understand the reason for.
It would be if the pitch is in the dirt before it gets to the plate....both plays are treated the same. However, if there are less than 2 strikes, the batter still has another try.
it's quirky, can be maddening, like fate's stepped in and turned a "yay" into an "oh no",.. I love it, but never understood why they added the rule,.. turns out they didn't add it, it's always been there, is in the very first rulebook.
I dont think that makes sense as the reason for that rule. I think that's wrong. If the rule is to prevent a manufacfured dp it would be at any point of the at bat. Just like IF rule.

An observation of you here, Shane. She didn't have to go "fish out" an article on softball. She didn't have to when it came to attendance figures or popularity. That's common knowledge as much as stadium capacity's are within college football. You know UT is over 100K because you're informed on the sport. You don't know the attendance, popularity, and other aspects of softball because you're not informed on the sport. it's akin to someone telling a boat owner what might be wrong with his outboard when you've never been on the water. Their out of their element from the start. You and your boys...take a trip to OKC while you've got the time. I'll bet your view will change; dramatically. I believe you said a top 8 seed wouldn't which was a great call in itself.
Lol I live IN OKC, I'd rather grab a lawn chair, crack a beer, crank the tunes and watch my grass grow.
