I spent almost 50 years of my life on active duty in the USAF & working for Air Force contractors flying DOD satellites on the Air Forces' Satellite Control Network. “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” An individual only has a Second Amendment right as part of a well-regulated militia, not as independents of others (that is until the activist conservative court perverted its history and intent). The Second Amendment was never about an individual right to self-defense, but about maintaining a citizens militia trained and prepared to act together in coordination for common defense against a standing army instituted by Congress.
