One of the analysts mentioned this during the game the other night. An interesting point. Can see where the QB could take a lot of punishment running this offense. But.........if Leak could learn this offense and stay healthy, Florida could be pretty good I think.
Urban may try and convert a tougher player on the team, that possibly played QB in HS, if Leak looks weak in the system.
The qb needs to be both smart and tough. The qb in the Utah system doesn't take the pounding like a qb from Air Force, Navy, Ga. Southern, and when teams like Oklahoma, Nebraska, Alabama, Texas, Auburn, etc. use to run it.
Meyer has said before, he adjusts the offense to player's strengths. He said the offense he put in at Bowling Green is not the exact same offense he put in at Utah. He also recruits players who might fit his offense. The QB that Zook recruited backed out of his commitment when Meyer told him he might not feel comfortable with his offense.
Leak is quite good on his feet but the last two games saw him make a lot of errant throws...during the FSU game (in which he did win but my he missed some easy throws) and the Miami game. Add in the option and it could spell injury.
