I have a son at USL and he doesn't even know where the football stadium is. But, he hasn't missed an LSU home game this year and his LSU cap is part of his wardrobe. If they don't like it, he politely tells them to f*ck off. The good news is that he plans to start LSU Law School next September.

This might be pure speculation, but our new gov. Blanco has said in some of her transition meetings that she would more than likely cut funding at LSU to redistribute it with the other schools in our state. Why does a state that has 4 /12 million people have 12 four year universities. It makes no sense. Cut funding from the flagship, Mrs. Blanco, that will really help bring in jobs like your promised you would do.

I grew up in Lafayette (born in Houma) and have bled purple and gold for as long as I remember but always tried to root for USL. Some of their die hard fans make it tough sometimes. The envy of LSU and frustration that a lot of Cajun fans have gets old. The fact that there are more LSU fans than USL in Lafayette is probably tough to take.

I do like Brian Mitchell and Jake Delhomme and usually root for their b-ball team to do well. Football needs to just move down to I-AA.

When I was in high school, I worked out at one of the USL weightrooms for a summer. Not sure if it was strictly enforced or not, but there was a sign prohibiting anyone to wear shirts/hats/etc. of other universities. One of the USL strength coaches (who played for LSU) said they put up the sign when a couple of the athletes were wearing LSU gear.
