Good point, I'd say you're probably right on that one. Now that I think about it I wasn't thinking that Utah was going to beat Bama like that. Though, I did think Utah could win given Bama's performances vs. LSU, Ole Piss, and Tulane...

I think they're in the discussion for sure.

We're still labeling that Oregon State loss on pre-season predictions.
Oregon State had a decent season (about equal to Ole Miss), but we peg that loss as if it were to UL-L.

I think them vs Florida would be a good game.
They would probably smoke the sh!t outta every other team that was in BCS bowls this year.

We can all say what we want about them dropping a game every year that they're not supposed to lose, but you have to admit, they never "not show up" for the big games.

There is no doubt, but a lot of their "big games" are overhyped games that they're far superior in talent.

A good example of this is the Rose Bowl every year, when they're far better than the Big 10 team EVERY year.

Or their season matchup with Ohio State this year for example.

I'm not taking anything away from what they do, because they win these games . . . and they win them big, but when the other team doesn't let themselves get bullied (Texas), they don't always steam-roll.

The funny thing is that out of all of sports post seasons the BCS sets out to give the most talented teams like USC the best chance to win the championship. But it never turns out that way. You can only cry about the system for so long. Have to start looking in the mirror eventually.

That's true, but compared to stronger conferences where teams have 4 or more big games all year, it would be interesting to see if they could channel that emotion every time they needed to if they had to face more than 1 or 2 quality opponents a year.

true, but they didn't roll over and die in that game either.
both teams were great that year. somebody had to lose.

They are included in a group of teams that could be the best. Of course. If the NFL playoffs were played again after the super bowl a different team could win. You have to win when it counts and within the system. Only one champion this season, that's UF.
