I'm rooting for you... I hate, with a passion, wUSC... but don't get your hopes up too far... the 2nd half can be a very ugly one if UW lets up.
Maybe I'm wrong, but why does that comment sound like simply yet another LSU pessimistic fan saying something that just down-plays/takes pot-shots at Miles??? No? Then I'm sorry if I offend. I'm just becoming ever more used to moronic negative posts from people that claim to be "diehard fans" than ever before. There are some posts on this forum from people that should simply be slapped silly for their "rationale" and they almost seem to take the stance of wanting to see LSU fail just to have change. And that's F-ing stupid.
While yes, I want UW to win obviously, I'm still frankly amazed at how bad USC has been with special teams thus far, they keep backing themselves up with penalties I'd expect out of a younger team like Washington, not a national powerhouse like USC Washington forces another 3 and out with USC near its own endzone. Ugh, bad bad bounce
That is true, but unlike the last several years, I don't think this team will let up... but we may see the talent gap start to really assert itself late.
Perhaps you're just not giving your team enough credit? Trust me, don't take any pointers from all the naysayers here about how to root for your team.
It is. There's several sporting events in Seattle this weekend, and yeah, with the economy, and this team still not showing a marquee win, there's around 60k in attendance, not the 70k there was with LSU. However, Washington pulls this game out of its ass, then I don't think it will be a problem for the rest of the season.
You can take it how ever you want... but I like Miles and have never really criticized him, OTHER then the fact that I think he needs to let his "killer" instinct take over some times and stop being content on winning by 10 points. And I will admit I was a little reserved when he was announced as our HC, but he's exceeded most of my expectations thus far and think he's a great coach for LSU. I simply meant... UW imo, is not a very good team... we should have dominated them... BUT, we played them the 1st game of the season and we are a young team that still needs a little gel'ing time with each other. HAd that game been played in Wk 7 or 9 I think the outcome would've been a little different. Most of the teams in the SEC let alone the rest of college football have been playing together for 2-3 full seasons and know each other pretty well on the "field". We're still learning from one another and coming together... we'll get there, just need some more time. When we do though, we'll be nasty as hell.
Thank you for further explaining. I guess I grew so annoyed at the majority of all the other negative comments that plauge the forum lately.
I hear ya... while others are dooming LSU football this season... I think it's the opposite. We're on the verge of some GREAT football... they just need some more time to come together, get a feel for each other on the field. It'll happen, then all of the fair weather fans will be back touting LSU as the NFL Champions.
