USC needed to take care of business and they did.

It was kinda far fetched to think that a 23 point underdog would beat them anyway.

I talked to a USC fan from California last week. He thinks UCLA has the best chance to upset them. He even seemed to be kinda worried about that game.

    We can only hope.

I seriously doubt they suffer an upset. USC is the real deal and trust me, in pains me to admit that.

My sentiments exactly. Some out there will say "oh, they needed to run up the score to impress voters", but with the suckfest the media's had with USC the past 2 years, does anyone really think they'd be voted No.2 or worse because they only beat ND by 24? Classless IMO

Anyone think Carroll will step up and say that Auburn deserves a Co Championship, b/c of the flaws of the system like he did last year... jeez this guy is worse that John Kerry's flip flops....

Come now, I doubt you would have a problem with it if it was our team that was in the same position. Can't you guys put your hate aside for just one minute? Hate this team, hate that team and every move they make is scrutinized. :dis:

Breeeeaaath people....breaaaath....release the hate and frustration.....

I don't think Saban stoops to this level. The game is in hand, what's the point?

Come on now, is it really the worst thing ever or the end of the world cause a coach decided he wanted more points on the board? He didn't kill anyone and I don't blame him for wanting to secure his spot at number one after what happened last season.

You can say the game was in hand all you want, but these days you never know what exactly it takes to retain your spot in the rankings. It's better to be safe than sorry.

If he wanted to impress... he could have taken it to the 1 yard line...and kneeled on it... just to kinda add insult to injury... like we could have scored but chose not to... I think that would have impressed more than another TD.

It's not the end of the world. I was just expressing my opinion of the call. I would feel the same way if any other school did it. If Saban did it, I would wish that he wouldn't have.

Do you really believe the media darlings USC would fall to No. 3 in the polls if they only won by 24?
