Do ya'll think that WWL should keep playing the aforementioned tape of their WWL interview with McKnight and Coach Curtis to get it out there, or do you think they should take a back seat?

Phil and Carre Johnson both love LSU as do Bobby Hebert and Deek Bellavia who were on air at the time. I think that tape is safe.

I know those guys love LSU, but the tape is incriminating to USC, not LSU.

This is the tape that I'm talking about. It is clearly a recruiting violation and it is on tape from the mouths of Coach Curtis and JM himself.

Y'all know that McKnights coach is probably as fine a human as I have heard talked about. Should he corroborate the story then you know as well as I do that it happened. That being said, everyone is delusional if you think that USC will suffer from anything. The SEC is the only conference that commits serious violations.

Remember Michigan's basketball team that was proven to have been paid 10's of thousands of dollars per player. They voluntarily forfeited the season and self imposed some schollie reductions and "poof" everything was ok.

    I don't know...it's a relatively big story:

Someone answer this recruiting question for me. So there is a period of time that you cannot contact a recruit (phone calls, etc). But text messaging is not considered a contact? Is that true?

WWL should be replaying that tape on a frequent basis. As I have not heard it, I will assume what others here say it contains is true. If the CC weren't bad enough, it doesn't look good to have both the college and high school lying, too. If they keep playing the tape, people will give them less benefit of the doubt.

Perhaps Curtis will go ahead and retire after this.

Former players are forbidden from telephoning prospective recruits, their relatives or guardians.

I think the texting is somewhat of a gray area. I would say that it's the same as telephoning.
