true. but i just think that excuses will be made so they dont have to take it back. maybe its my skeptical side, but the heisman seems to be a popularity contest (at least for the most part) any more, so i dont have a lot of faith in the "right thing" to be done.
Are these scholarships all in football though? I wonder if some are basketball. Lame won't leave. He get's paid regardless, not counting any incentives for winning, right? Also, as you said, he now has a built in excuse for sucking.
From what I have seen, they are all football. I have read that the basketball team isn't expected to receive anymore sanctions beyond the self-imposed ones already in place.
Here are my thoughts, 1. They got a lot more than what I expected so I'm busy seasoning up my crow. 2. I wonder if the outcome had anything to do with the fact that good ol lame was the OC at the time these shenanigans were taking place? You konw it isn't supposed to be an issue but I wonder if it was. 3. Now that the hammer has fallen and we know Coach Oh No's NCAA handbook is currently supporting an uneven leg on his coffee table, how long before they are neck deep in doo doo again?
