I'm not here for arguement. We agree, disagree or agree to disagree. Arguement or opinion only make this message board richer.

All in all, we are still had one thing in c'mon. We love our LSU tiger.

    Best regards.

And I think we all agree that Dwayne Bowe is gonna be sumpin special. Bless his non-disciplinary heart.

    Okay lslstl,

You are a reasonable poster. By the way, Oregon State plays similar defense likes LSU & our OL did not play well last week. It mean that our QB only has around 3 sec or less to take the snap, step back, fake the hand off and throw to option #1; Therefore, I think it is maybe OK for Bowe to run his own route since the QB was locked on him anyway.

I still think Jimbo already has a talk with him after the game.

The more I think about this, the more I think that it is NOT OK for Bowe to do this. These routes are timed precisely. The QB looks to his first option, then his second, etc... He can't sit around waiting for Bowe to run where ever he wants. What if Bowe doesn't get open, then the timing for his second option is gone and he gets sacked. Wrong wrong wrong thing to do.

So my question still is, why was Bowe forced to be a maverick? It seemed like this happened out of frustration with the play calling and the inability of the guys in the booth to send the receivers into the open space. It was obvious to Bowe what to do, he did it twice in a row and it worked. Why couldn't the guys in the booth see the weakness in the middle (where we almost NEVER threw) and relay that back to the team?

Pure speculation on my part ... I suspect those 2 plays called are in the playbook (unlike the Booty play). As others pointed out, WRs are coached to read the defense and adjust their patterns based on what they see ... same with the QB, and hopefully they are on the same page. I can hear Bowe telling Russell in the huddle to get him the ball b/c he'll get open, but I doubt it was a Booty-like playground play.

Anyway, my problem was more with Bowe's quote ... sounds like he was patting himself on the back and probably exaggerated the situation. This is why Saban is not fond of young guys speaking to the media!
