I interpreted this the other way. He cut the guy off because he didn't want to answer the question truthfully. He doesn't respect Miles.
Hey, ya'll got to give Urban a break. He is just learning how to shake hands graciously after a loss. I have seen him where he just grunts and goes on. He actually looked like he'd talk to Les at mid field, and that's a big step. People can say what they want to about your coach, but he is willing to take a gamble, and he has faith in his players, and they know it.
+1 It takes a lot to buck what the media says, .. even your own fans say, and believe in your team and have them believe in you. It is a huge compliment to the LSU footmall players that they don't let the media and fan speak affect the faith they have in their coach. :geaux:
I took it this way too. He cut the reporter off somewhat rudely by saying he wouldn't answer that question then probably looked at the guy, realized it was a well meaning, hard working beat writer who was just doing his job and Meyer told him "no disrespect" meaning that he wasn't mad at the guy for asking and wasn't trying to be a prick but he just didn't want to answer that question or touch it with a ten foot pole.
I think he did the right thing at that point. It made no sense to get into talk about another coach. No head coach would ever do that.
I saw a clip where Urban threw some of his players under the bus after this game. At first he said the team was only a short distance from being where he wanted it, and then he said some player were giving their all but others were not. Sorry no link, if someone else knows where the link is please post it.
