It’s been fun listening to Finebaum bury Urban all morning in interviews. He is relishing slaying another dragon who has been a threat to the Evil Dwarf’s kingdom. Still don’t know how he gives all these interviews with Nick’s schlong in his mouth.
Urban's wife is a mandated reporter. At the very least, she had a legal responsibility to report it and I have zero doubt that Urban knew about it. Perhaps they agreed she would take the fall if it ever came out because obviously he's the major money-maker. You have to look at this situation differently just as you would with a military situation. A coach has access to players and students and Ohio State clearly has a defined set of conduct standards even when not on the job. If a player can lose their scholarship for beating a girlfriend "away from the field", then a coach should be held to an even higher standard. Urban chooses his staff. Yes, he is 100% responsible for acting when a coach on his staff is beating the crap out of his wife. If nothing else, suspend the coach until he's gotten evaluation and treatment.
Of course, the trainees are off limits. Hell I think one of the guys I was on the trail with is now married to one of the trainees he was screwing while on duty. He went to jail of course but I think they have reconnected now that he has been discharged. We took that shit serious because all it takes is for one of those little bitches to say "drill sgt did this and that" and now you have an investigation. That is a nice way of saying they take your barracks, turn it upside down and shake it until something dirty falls out and it always does. Things are a lot better when outsiders aren't snooping around in every crook and crevice of your building.
