they never reviewed 2 legit catches called incomplete for LSU right before the review plays. it was definitely crap and the fact they looked long and hard for FIVE minutes to overturn a legit catch was downright wrong. besides killing momentum they decide to overturn a call that was conclusively more of a catch than not. there was holding allowed on both sides so im ok with that.
There was a critical sack on JR, when the Bammer guy totally jumped off-sides. The holding on a punt (for a first down!) was complete BS. Has anyone ever seen that call made? Those were two potential game changers, which were ridiculous.
Like I said...I would hate to see how you guys would be acting had Bama won. :dis: You won...Quit crying already gah.
It just seems the officiating this entire year has sucked across the board! That kid for Vandy getting called for excessive celebration was a joke and it seems like on every big play in most games at crucial times in the game a flag gets thrown! When you see some of the replays they almost always seem questionable. Hypothetically you could probably throw a flag on every play but the refs need to let them play. They overlook obvious flagrant fouls then call almost questionable holding type penalties, etc. This year for some reason it is just standing out for me. Maybe it's always been this way but it just seems to really suck this year. When Bowe caught the game winning touchdown I paused for like five seconds looking for a flag. It's like I'm conditioned now.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way! My sentiments exactly... WE WON!!! I understand being mad about crappy calls, but we won, let's be happy about that and focus on that:geauxtige
We are just stating facts! We had a lot of calls go against us that were crucial to a couple of series. Some calls were very obvious and the refs did nothing. We should start focusing on lefire: and prepare to kick their ass
we'll discuss the observations as we see fit. if you dont like it here gump, leave. its that simple. if we cried and had lost it would be sour grapes. as it stands, we notice it win or lose. now go lose to auburn as you're accustomed and leave us to our SECCG.
although there were some...odd calls(or lack thereof), overall I was glad that for the most part the refs let the game play out. Reviewing is ok, at least they were paying attempting to get the call right. In the end the game wasn't decided by the refs either way and that makes me happy, I'd much rather talk about missed field goals and opportunities on offense than the refs making a call that changed the outcome either way.
