My guess is tomorrow or Miles will wait to announce the entire staff. That part I am not sure about. Vance Joseph will give Les Miles his decision as DB coach this weekend it is being reported. And the only other question is D-line, where Bill Johnson from the Broncos might be a dark horse possibility.
I listened to a few minutes of the post-game radio show last night. They felt like the announcements would most likely come on Monday. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
And thus waiting to announce the entire staff. I am cool with that. Plus it gives Mallory and Peveto few days to relish this victory, which the defense had a lot to do with it. Announcing the next day or 2 would take a little shine off the afterglow for them. Les Miles is the man when it comes to class.
Glenn Guilbeau: Shreveport Times Jan 4 -- Future looks bright for LSU...Miles decided quickly after the regular season...Before and during bowl preparations, Miles researched and spoke to former Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis about joining his staff. Chavis accepted the job. Chavis is yet another excellent hire by Miles. First, he convinced offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher to stay when Miles first got the LSU job in 2005. Then he went out and got one of the best and brightest defensive coordinators in the country in Bo Pelini. Then two seasons later when Fisher left, he found one of the top offensive coordinators in the country in Gary Crowton. In Chavis, Miles has tapped one of the best defensive coordinators in the country who is also an SEC expert. Chavis could well end up as Miles' best hire yet.
And now, after a long wait and much speculation, it is official. Welcome to Tiger Country Coach John Chavis. Didn't seem right to use just his initials, but should he do what most of us believe, he will get similar praises from the Tiger faithful.
